PATCh Counselling is a service offered by Anne Lion, MA, DipCouns, MBACP.

I am a trilingual (English, French, Spanish) woman born in 1968 and I live in Wiltshire, with my partner, children and pets.

I have spent the past 12 years practising as a counsellor for adults in voluntary agencies and private practice, and with children and teenagers, many affected by communication impairments, in special schools. I have worked extensively with autistic children (using teaching and behaviour modification programmes as well as counselling).

I currently work as a consultant counsellor at Farleigh College (Frome, Somerset), an independent special school provided by the Priory Group for young people, aged 7 to 17, with Asperger's Syndrome, a developmental disorder on the autistic spectrum.

I also have a private practice based in Marlborough, Wiltshire, where I see women and couples, as well as teenagers and children, for counselling.

I have a Diploma in Person-centred Counselling from the reputed Metanoia Institute in London.

I also have a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (the study of human communication) from the University of London, with a specialisation in communication disorders.

I regularly attend therapy courses and conferences as part of my on-going professional development.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and of the British Association for the Person Centred Approach (BAPCA).

I seek to work to the highest professional and ethical standards.
